OUR STORY
How we started

I have been an animal lover from the time I was born, and have always loved the spirit of volunteering. So, it made perfect sense to give back to the animals. Four years ago I started fostering orphan kittens and it has become a focus and a passion. I'm always trying to think of new ways to help the babies, especially sick, injured or feral kittens. Suckling, maintaining body temperature and licking incisions post- spay and neuter are issues fosters deal with regularly. One of my best friends had posted on Facebook that she loves to crochet, but can only make so many blankets and scarves before everybody she knows has too many. I reached out to her and said "You should crochet sweaters for baby kittens." And our little (BIG) project was born. We set out to write a pattern. Me measuring my foster kittens and her translating that into a useable pattern. Word spread, and now we have people around the world requesting sweaters, donating and volunteering to crochet and perfect patterns. The response has been overwhelmingly heartwarming.

We do not "sell" the patterns or the sweaters. We simply want to help the kittens and assist other fosters and rescues in saving tiny lives. We do ask for a small donation to cover shipping costs. This is added to your order upon checkout. If you are unable to afford this donation, please contact us and let us know. We use funds from our donations to help in these special instances. If you live outside the USA, we will be happy to ship to you, but we will ask for the shipping cost via USPS to be paid in advance. Just contact us and we can let you know what that fee will be based on your mailing address. If you would like to donate to help cover the costs of supplies, you can do that via our "DONATE" page. We suggest $1 per sweater.

We welcome all feedback and suggestions to help us improve! These are hand-crafted, so they do take some time to produce. Please be patient with us as we sometimes have a long waiting list. We will do our best to keep you updated and we will let you know when your order ships.

A special thanks to Mandy and Barbara for their tireless help and kind hearts. I'm so fortunate to know you!

Now...time to feed the kittens!
